He
was the real deal.
Flawed
and
all
his stubborn ways were a sore
but
he always remained true to
what
he felt for her
lovely
mind
was
the loveliest he'd ever met
ever
meet
and
he insisted on showing
that
he knew this secret
by
displaying his love
like
that song by Sia
she
had on blast everyday
like
that song
his
love
was
stuck
on repeat...
He
felt the words
she
didn't speak
in angry silence,
gave
her his voice
when
she lost her speech
had
stayed when
she
pushed him to leave
her
fears pressing
defiant
against
his chest
unable
to process
that
he could love her
like
he did
and
no one else...
loved
her
but there
was no one else
that
was
her.
He
was the real deal
standing
in her reflection
yet
she couldn't see past
the
smeared
grime
of
her past
and
the man
she
couldn't forget
a
reminder to
never
forgive
him
if and when
he
did
what
he never did do
to
her what
they
had done
but
she couldn't see
him
in her reflection
because
none
of the faces
she
saw had
his
love
written
on...
He
was the real deal
and
it took some time
but
now she knows this
she
finally found
her
perfect exorcist of
devils
that preyed
on
her daily
after
he taught her
how
to pray
daily
she
learnt to let
go
and let
herself
live
not
from her fears or
agonies
but
from this love
that
taught her to recognize
her
own beauty,
full
soul agape
from
all she could be
only
he understood
what
she now saw
because
its what
he had
seen
the real deal...
but
he had become lost
amongst
the warped crevices
of
her broken mind
so he
did not get to witness
the
joy she found
when
she realised
he
had been
standing
there
under
all the grime
in her mirror
reflecting devotion
all
along
but
the last push
had
really been
the last one
and
he gently accepted loss
and
decided to become
what
those faces
should
have always been
.Gone.

Talk about home run. I connected with this a lot. In a world of words a lot goes understated. ... especially what matters most.
ReplyDeleteYou know I think that is at times the struggle when writing, how to speak on what matters most, in the best way you know how...
