Sudden
death
leaves
words
that
were never formed
permanently
unsaid.
It
rids you of all the time
that
had passed
and
the moments that
were
ill spent
Sudden
death
expels
a void
that
is created deep within the gut
burning
and painfully dry
into
a harsh, tumultuous
storm
of tears
you
had no idea
you
could cry.
Sudden
death
leaves
memories
imitating
reality;
and
blurs the line
between
what is true
and
what you refuse to believe
Sudden
death
will
shake your hand
only
to strip your very core
but
though unkind
it
teaches you what is relevant
and
what should be ignored.
Sudden
death
steals
laughter
and
leaves it without a home
and
replace it with
silent
moans
that
stay trapped in the walls
of
your throat.
Sudden
death
is
selfish but selfless
all
at once
gifting
you a view of life
and
the way you’ve lived
the
path you should take onward
and
those you ought to shun
Sudden
death
is
experienced
but
hopelessly naïve,
taking
generously
but
failing to see
the
struggle that creates
for
us human beings….
