Trade wind lovers
sat unamused
considering the changing tides
as well as the coastlines misuse
the beaches have drawn nearer
to the homes on the shore
owners in homes who choose to ignore
the swells of water
that will soon rest underneath
of the foundation of their houses
and at their doorsteps feet
trade wind lovers
looked on
gliding on the sharp breezes they sent
hoping to wake the people from
their erroneous rest
not realizing
their winds lulled them
to sleep instead.
