How many things do we lose?

For the sake of being a fool

How much love do we misuse?

For the sake of holding on to pride

How many situations have we not solved?

For the sake of holding on to our pride

How many issues in ourselves have we not resolved?

For the sake of being angry

How many people do we turn away?

For the sake of being angry

How many people do we cause dismay?

For the sake of not forgiving

How much happiness have we lost?

For the sake of not forgiving

How many new memories have we lost?

For the sake of not listening

How much have we not understood?

For the sake of not listening

How much bad could we have made good?

For the sake of surviving

How many dreams have we slaughtered?

For the sake of being you...

How much more destruction will you yet require?

Multiple facets leaked forth

from astounding presentations

confusion seeping into

the reasons behind

unclear motivations

pressuring my mind into

taking Murphy’s Law literally

then having to remind myself

this law was never applicable

to faith’s boundaries...

which in any case

never were existent

believing in realities

that contradict the present

childlike in structure

they’ve called it naiveté

but its the strongest type 

I’ve dared to contemplate

in between a flood’s entrapment

then a mighty standard being raised

to protect this prose

that is still unwritten

despite all highest joys

and deepest woes

many more chapters
